Overview
Children's Community Healthcare Support Worker role at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. This position involves providing one on one care to a child in their family home or school setting, ensuring safety and that all health needs are met both overnight and during the day.
We are a supportive team that relies on each other. Development is important to us, and there are opportunities to progress within this role. An induction is provided in the office with inhouse/classroom training and a minimum of 3 months training/shadowing.
Applicants are welcome to cover locations across Somerset.
Full and part time hours are available. We aim to accommodate working pattern preferences where possible, with days-only arrangements negotiable for the right applicant. Applicants should be able to attend a face to face interview within Taunton. Due to an increase in the minimum salary threshold, this role is no longer eligible for sponsorship.
Responsibilities
Provide one on one care to a child in the family home or school setting, ensuring the child is safe and all health needs are met both overnight and during the day.
Work as part of a team that visits children in their own homes and take time to get to know patients as part of building a supportive care relationship.
Participate in induction and ongoing training, including a minimum of 3 months of training/shadowing.

Applicants are required to work across a minimum of 2 locations.
