We’re hiring for a Client Director as part of dentsu in London.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to lead the strategic and operational delivery of paid media for key client accounts. As a trusted advisor, the Client Director is responsible for translating client business objectives into actionable media strategies, ensuring all resources are aligned to deliver high-performance digital campaigns that drive measurable growth. This role oversees the full end-to-end management of client accounts, from strategic planning through execution while maintaining strong senior relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, and ensuring commercial success. The Client Director plays a central role in managing and motivating their team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to evolve media solutions and ensure the seamless, profitable delivery of services that meet or exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* You will act as the strategic and commercial lead across a portfolio of high-profile accounts. This role is responsible for delivering against client objectives, driving innovation through addressable media, and leading a high-performing team to ensure excellence in execution and service delivery.
* You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating business goals into actionable paid media strategies and overseeing end-to-end delivery across programmatic and paid social channels.
* You’ll also manage senior client relationships, lead business reviews, and ensure delivery remains on track against commercial and strategic KPIs. You will mentor and guide media leads and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and curiosity.
* You will take ownership of the day-to-day business, including commercial oversight, strategic planning, and resource allocation. A key part of your remit will be identifying and unlocking growth opportunities through cross-sell, upsell, and innovation.
* Own the commercial performance of your accounts, including budget oversight, financial accuracy, and revenue growth through upsell and cross-sell.
* Work alongside the Client Partner and commercial leads to ensure resource allocation is optimized and margin targets are met.
Qualifications + Skills
* Substantial experience in programmatic digital media with a strong understanding of media planning and buying. Paid social knowledge is a bonus
* Previous Trading experience in Programmatic for any DSP would be a great advantage.
* A strong background in client leadership, digital media strategy, and programmatic activation.
* The ability to bring a balance of strategic thinking and commercial acumen, along with deep expertise in the addressable media landscape including DSPs, data strategy, and measurement.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Commercially and financially astute, able to run sustainable team structures.
