Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a Ward Manager to join the team. We have a Rehabilitation and Recovery (R&R) unit with 22 beds, catering to male and female patients aged 18+ with level 2 rehabilitation and BTPs. Additionally, we have an Acute unit with 56 beds, a PICU with 30 beds, an Adult ED with 18 beds, and a CAMHS unit with 10 beds for young males and females aged 11-17. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.

What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Ward Manager, you will play a key role in patients' recovery by assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, and undertaking routine tasks to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment.
* Manage the ward and resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix, including rota management, annual leave, and training arrangements.
* Have full oversight of the nursing staff rota and act as the authorized individual to maintain rota management standards.
* Ensure all nursing team members receive clinical supervision, appraisals, CPD, and mandatory training.
* Address development needs and performance issues through training and support.
What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with the NMC or HCPC, with at least two years’ supervisory experience in a relevant care setting, and appropriate ward-specific registration or experience. They should be a trained and current Assessor/Supervisor, computer literate, and experienced as a registered practitioner in relevant clinical settings. A commitment to ongoing professional development and leadership training is essential. Experience in clinical audits, evidence-based service improvements, and supervising staff is highly desirable.
