What the Job Involves As part of the Social Care reforms, we are enhancing our Children’s Family Front Door services to support existing efforts and further develop the work that helps families access the right help and support promptly. This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time, highly skilled social worker to join the well-established Family Front Door team at Worcestershire County Council. Your role will involve processing referrals from various partner agencies, parents, and carers, working in a fast-paced environment, analyzing information, and making appropriate recommendations according to Worcestershire's level of needs guidance. Based primarily in one of three district areas—Redditch/Wychavon, Worcester/Malvern, or Bromsgrove/Wyre Forest—you will gain a better understanding of available services for children, young people, and their families, building strong relationships with partner agencies that regularly contact the Family Front Door team. You'll be part of a team fostering a culture of learning, critical thinking, and reflective practice, supported by regular individual and group supervision, manageable caseloads, regular team meetings, and a stable, permanent management group.
