The role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding professional with customs entry and road freight knowledge who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong attention to detail within import and Exports
- Completing and processing customs entries accurately and efficiently
- Handling import and export customs declarations
- Coordinating road freight shipments across the UK and Overseas
- Liaising with customers, hauliers, customs authorities, and overseas agents
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company procedures
- Maintaining accurate shipment and customs records
- Providing excellent customer service and operational support
Requirements
- Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or customs operations
- Knowledge of customs entries and customs procedures
- Road freight experience is essential
- Familiarity with Boxtop / Sequoia and customs software would be advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
