1801 - Therapy Assistant Inpatient and Outpatient Rotations

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our Inpatient Medical and Surgical team as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant. This role offers the chance to work alongside our team of Physiotherapists. Experience as an Assistant or in healthcare would be ideal, but is not essential.
This position may be undertaken as a secondment, subject to approval from your current line manager.
The Inpatient Medical and Surgical team is proactive in providing a holistic service, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive high-quality interventions, achieve their rehabilitation goals, and are safely discharged in a timely manner.
Good communication and time management skills are essential to operate effectively within a busy inpatient environment across various settings. Training and a competency package are included in the role.

Main duties of the job
Implement therapy programmes delegated by the Physiotherapist to aid patient rehabilitation.
Manage your own caseload, under supervision or independently, treating patients according to set protocols, monitoring progress, and reporting any changes to the Therapist.
Carry out clinically relevant administrative duties to ensure smooth service delivery.
Participate in a comprehensive induction and access ongoing learning and development opportunities.
Contribute to service development and improvement, shaping effective patient care pathways and best practices.
The successful candidate will have excellent teamwork skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.
Flexibility in working hours is essential, including potential 7-day and weekend shifts.
