About Us

The Investigo Group (TIG) is a dynamic coalition of tech firms specialising in platform, software, data, AI and bleeding‑edge technology solutions. We offer a broad portfolio of B2B products and services, serving global markets while proudly operating from the United Kingdom.

About You

You are a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer who turns complex ideas into elegant, performant and intuitive user experiences. You bring a deep understanding of modern frontend engineering and have a passion for clean, scalable, maintainable interfaces, especially in data‑rich or real‑time environments.

You thrive as a senior individual contributor, bring clarity to ambiguity, and elevate engineering standards through collaboration. You enjoy partnering with designers, backend engineers and machine learning specialists, and can explain technical decisions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

You have strong experience delivering high‑quality web applications end‑to‑end, and you’re excited to shape tooling, frameworks and best practices of a growing frontend function. You value documentation, accessibility and thoughtful UI/UX.

Keeping up with modern frameworks and trends, you eagerly contribute to projects involving innovation such as real‑time interfaces, visualisation of complex graph structures or AI‑driven capabilities.

Most importantly, you are motivated by impact and want to influence frontend direction across multiple products and a culture of continuous improvement.

About the Team

You will join a small but growing Frontend Engineering team within our Software Development and AI function. The team is cross‑functional with frontend engineers, backend developers, machine learning specialists, UX designers and QA, building intelligent data‑driven products.

Your role will shape how we deliver modern UI experiences across web, desktop, PWAs and browser extensions, tackling real‑time messaging, complex visualisation layers and integrations with LLMs, computer vision and advanced data pipelines.

About the Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will design, build and optimise high‑quality user interfaces across our suite of data‑driven applications. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers and machine learning teams to create seamless, performant, visually compelling experiences. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex UI challenges, influencing engineering standards, and scaling our frontend capability.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, build and maintain modern, performance‑focused frontend applications across web and desktop platforms.
* Develop and optimise reusable UI component libraries for consistency and efficiency.
* Translate UX wireframes, prototypes and design concepts into high‑quality, accessible UIs.
* Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs, manage data flows and ensure a seamless end‑to‑end experience.
* Champion best practices in coding standards, architecture, documentation and frontend processes.
* Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, scalability and maintainability.
* Implement testing strategies using Jest, Cypress or Playwright to support robust releases.
* Ensure interfaces meet WCAG accessibility standards.
* Diagnose and resolve complex UI issues, including performance bottlenecks and rendering challenges.
* Suggest new tools, frameworks and approaches to improve developer experience and product quality.
* Work on innovative projects involving real‑time updates, visualisation of complex data structures and AI/ML interactions.

Success in This Role Looks Like

* Consistently delivered high‑quality, scalable frontend applications with clean architecture and strong performance.
* Visible uplift in UI/UX standards, consistency and accessibility.
* A more mature frontend engineering practice with clearer patterns and tooling.
* Effective collaboration with designers, backend engineers and ML teams.
* Reduced bugs, faster delivery cycles and improved reliability through thoughtful testing and proactive decisions.
* Clear ownership and accountability for end‑to‑end feature delivery.
* Meaningful impact on product direction, influencing architecture and UI strategy.
* Positive influence within the team, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
* Proactive innovation, introducing modern techniques and tools.
* Visible contributions to shaping the frontend function as it expands into PWAs, desktop apps and browser extensions.

Why Join Us?

* Shape the future of our frontend engineering function and drive its standards and tooling.
* Work on genuinely interesting, complex challenges: real‑time data interfaces, graph visualisation, AI‑driven interactions, PWAs, desktop apps and browser extensions.
* Collaborate with talented engineers across Software, AI, Data, and UX in a supportive environment.
* Deliver high impact with low bureaucracy; your work directly influences product and culture.
* Modern tech stack and forward‑thinking engineering culture that embraces new tools and best practices.
* Flexible working with hybrid and remote options to support work‑life balance.
* Clear career progression into a Lead level position as the team grows.
* A mission‑driven environment building innovative platforms that solve real‑world problems.
