Overview
Grade UE07: £41,064.00 – £48,822.00 per annum. CAHSS / School of Health in Social Science. Full-time: 35 hours per week. Fixed-term contract: 30 months. This post is full-time (35 hours per week) for 30 months. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. This is not a remote role.
The Opportunity: Research Fellow (qualitative methods) to join the Discovering Liveability: Co-producing alternatives to suicide prevention project, contributing to innovative suicide research that centres liveability and lived/living experience.
The salary for this post is at Grade UE07: £41,064.00 – £48,822.00 per annum, but due to budgetary restrictions appointments will be made on the first step of the grade – £41,064.00 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the Discovering Liveability project and related research on suicide prevention, with a focus on liveability and lived experience.
* Collaborate with researchers to design, collect, and analyze qualitative data (e.g., ethnography, institutional ethnography).
* Present findings in clear written and oral formats, including academic publications.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in qualitative research methods, especially ethnography and institutional ethnography.
* Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing (including for academic publication).
* A PhD in a relevant field (e.g. critical suicide studies, sociology, anthropology).
* A developing record of peer-reviewed publications.
