Power Analysis Engineer role in the Solutions Engineering group at Arm. Arm is establishing teams to develop new silicon platforms covering premium mobile, compute, IoT, AI/ML server, automotive. Arm’s ambition is to demonstrate efficient performance by architecting, implementing, and fabricating pioneering silicon using the latest SoC process nodes and packaging technologies. Responsibilities
* Analyze and optimise performance per watt of next‑generation solutions using simulation, emulation, and modelling.
* Collaborate cross‑functional teams: design, verification, architecture, software, pre‑post silicon test.
* Build and innovate new processes; ensure customer PPA requirements measured and analysed; creatively exceed.
* Develop RTL simulator/emulator workloads for power estimation; create visualisations of hardware power signature; review quality and accuracy of EDA power analysis flows and evaluate new tools and methodologies.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience in power analysis, modelling, or transferable skills from design, implementation, verification backgrounds.
* Understanding of low power design features and techniques (clock and power gating, voltage/frequency scaling, memory/logic retention).
* Ability to balance trade‑offs between power, performance, and area.
* Verilog/SystemVerilog experience.
* Experience using power analysis tools (PowerPro, PrimePower, PowerArtist) or power delivery and signoff tools.
* Knowledge of physical implementation flow from RTL through synthesis, place & route to STA.
Nice to Have
* CPU, Graphics, Memory benchmark development or analysis for PPA.
* Background running simulation/emulation tools (VCS, Questasim, Incisive, Veloce Strato, Palladium, Zebu, etc).
