Job Description:
We are looking for enthusiastic and positive individuals to work as part of a team, providing advice, support, and mentoring to those responsible for administering and processing applications for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.
You will also collaborate with teams handling hardship applications, maintaining an accurate Council Tax Base and Non-Domestic Rates Rating List, and maximizing collection of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, and Housing Benefit overpayments.
This role offers permanent, full-time positions across our benefit assessment teams. The standard working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Howden House Office.
We operate a hybrid working pattern, with an initial training period in the office.
Requirements for this role include:
* Awareness of Housing Benefits, Council Tax, and Council Tax Support.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Applications, including Excel and Word.
* Ability to develop a working knowledge of basic Benefits and Revenues rules and procedures.
* Understanding of customer focus.
* Ability to communicate through various channels.
* A flexible approach to teamwork.
All successful candidates will need to complete a Basic DBS check.
