An opportunity exists to join KPMG’s Diversified Industrials M&A team in the UK supporting and leading deal origination and execution across industrial sub-sectors.
The role will allow the successful candidate to work on a broad range of domestic and international mid-market transactions (typically £10-£200m) for listed corporates, private equity and owner managed clients.
The scope of the role will include both execution of transactions as well as origination of new opportunities.
Roles & Responsibilities
5. Manage M&A projects (with support from Director/ Partner) including being the day to day point of contact for clients.
6. Actively managing client interfaces taking responsibility for managing all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution.
7. Leading and managing the delivery of documentation including client proposals and marketing materials.
8. Directing and managing colleagues, wider support staff and other external advisers.
9. Supervising and reviewing financial analysis carried out by team members.
10. Set, monitor and control M&A project budgets, billing and other reporting requirements.
11. Build and develop strong relationships in the market.
12. Take responsibility for agreed areas of origination and business development.
Attributes, Qualifications & Skills
13. Strong academic background.
14. Experience within M&A advisory with proven execution ability.
15. Industrial manufacturing or industrial technology experience is preferable but not essential.
16. Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
17. Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
18. Independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of solutions.
19. Comfortable discussing financially related commercial issues.
20. Ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously to demanding timetables.
21. Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter willing to take advantages of the opportunities this position offers, but also a team player.
22. Experience of working in and managing small teams.
23. Excellent verbal communication skills.

Experience & Background
26. Have a sound knowledge of M&A through investment banking, advisory firms, private equity, M&A Boutiques or in corporate development roles
