Do you love coffee? Can you manage a team to purchase, roast, bag, pack and dispatch coffee for our shops, wholesale customers and subscribers? At 200 Degrees, we are looking for our next Roast House Manager to manage a slick operation in our Roast House in West Bridgford. Our next Roast House Manager will take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the Roast House, leading and supporting the Roast House team. They will work closely with Mike, our Head Roaster, to allow us to continually produce consistently good coffee and grow our specialty coffee alongside production of our core offering. They will motivate the team to create a safe, clean and presentable workspace, ensuring the processes are regularly being streamlined and improved while maintaining the integrity of the products. The Roast House Manager also takes responsibility for all matters relating to the Roast House itself, including H&S and standards. The 200 Degrees team is a big family, and at the Roast House the whole team work together to ensure that we get our coffee to the customer. You'll need to work closely with our colleagues in finance, wholesale and customer support - building good relationships in this role is key. You'll manage coffee production and distribution: Planning production to meet and exceed customer expectations Implementing systems and improving processes Work as part of the production team where necessary - not afraid to get involved Addressing basic machine maintenance to keep machinery fully operational, in line with supplier guidelines Co-ordination of delivery partners to ensure goods are dispatched on a timely basis Ordering stock and maintaining appropriate stock levels You'll manage the Roast House facility: Roastery Health & Safety management, ensuring continuing SALSA certification by preparing for and running audits Management of Roastery contracts and related actions H&S management across the full Roast House building, including fire safety compliance You'll manage the Roast House team and keep the heart of 200 Degrees beating: Recruit, lead, manage, develop and motivate the employees in the Roast House Develop a communications approach to ensure all employees in the Roast House understand the brand ambition and objectives and receive regular performance updates. Provide the leadership ‘presence’ in the Roast House and feed relevant insights to the Finance Director Promote, perpetuate and embody the company culture Requirements: Experience in managing an end to end production process, including stock management Appreciation of food safety standards Excellent team leadership skills Dedication to delivering for the customer Great communication skills Experience in equipment maintenance Be organised, hard-working and reliable Must be able to lift 15kg minimum for deliveries Be flexible and highly motivated to work within a small but dedicated team Ability to thrive in a fast-paced/high volume environment and adapt quickly to change If you think this could be for you, send us your CV - we're looking forward to meeting our next Roast House Manager!
