Sheridan Maine is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Hampshire based client that operates in an interesting and niche sector. The role will require a technically strong qualified Accountant (ACA /ACCA / CIMA) either from an industry or practice background.
Working as part of a large team, you will liaise with a range of stakeholders and the wider finance function.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Financial reporting and financial control
2. Provision of financial reports and preparation of financial statements
3. Range of activities - intercompany accounting, reconciliations, journals, and month end close
4. Revenue, cost of sales and stock accounting
5. Capital and operational expenditure
6. Process/systems review and enhancement
7. Other ad-hoc projects and activities
What you will need to be considered for this role:
8. Preferably experience of dealing with a large volume of transactions
9. Strong technical accounting expertise
10. Excellent time management skills
11. Ability to communicate with stakeholders
