Pupil Support Assistant Balerno Community High School Salary: £25,905 - £26,111 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional Balerno High School is a six year comprehensive which serves the districts of Balerno, Ratho and Kirknewton. The school has close liaison with the associated primaries in each of these communities. We are supported by an active Parent Council and Parent Teacher Association. The roll for session 2025-2026 is 877 pupils in years S1 to S6. Around twenty five percent of our pupils are enrolled as placing requests from outwith the catchment. Pupil Support Assistants are required to join the Support for Learning team assisting and encouraging students with the ultimate aim of maximising attainment and support for all pupils.
