Essential
NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education, Qualified NNEB, or equivalent/above (Level 3 Nursery Practitioner).
Or a Teaching qualification (BA (Hons), BSc (Hons) or PGCE.
· Previous experience of working with children aged birth to 2 and/or 2-5.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and Welfare Requirements.
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to use own initiative.
· Good organisational skills.
· Enthusiastic and hardworking.
· To have and sustain a good level of attendance at work.
· Ability to plan and implement activities.
· Ability to record children's progress in the form of observations and reports etc.
· To work in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
· Suitability to work with children.
· Good understanding and use of spoken and written English.
· Attend courses as and when required. Desirable
· At least 2 years' experience of working with children within a childcare setting.
· Current Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Moving and Handling, Prevent Duty and Fundamental British Values training.
· GCSE Maths and English – Grade C or above.
· Experience of working with children with SEN.
Hours of Work
· Full time and part time positions are available.
