A global organisation arelooking for a hands-onShift Managerto lead a team of around 30 colleagues across our modern manufacturing facility in Barnstaple.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, youll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality running of production during your shift. Youll drive operational performance through effective leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and motivating a team of approximately 30 production and support staff.
* Delivering against key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, output, waste, and efficiency.
* Embedding LEAN and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
* Coordinating daily shift activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and standard operating procedures.
* Leading shift handovers and reporting on performance to site management.
* Promoting a culture of safety, engagement, and accountability.
