Overview
Domestic Assistant required at Orchards Manor, Near Kings Lynn, Downham Market, PE34 3HT. Salary £13,000 per annum. Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Permanent contract, 52 weeks. UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.
We are looking for a Domestic Assistant for our New Options Autism School – Orchards Manor School, Near Kings Lynn, Downham Market. This role supports high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the building.
Responsibilities
* Promote the good reputation of the school by cleaning all areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Ensure all equipment and chemicals are used and handled correctly at all times, in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, COSHH regulations and health and safety legislation; use supplies efficiently and minimise waste.
* Carry out daily and weekly cleaning routines and any special duties as directed.
* Support other members of the domestic team to complete tasks that require extra staff.
* Assist in the operation of the laundry where necessary.
* Report compliments, comments and complaints; report defects, damage, theft, breakages or hazards.
* Perform duties in a safe manner with regard to health, safety and welfare of self, staff, pupils and others on site.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant experience of domestic duties.
* Experience of effective cleaning practices.
* Good working knowledge of domestic practices including use and storage of relevant products.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Our New Options Autism School – Orchards Manor School is proposed to open in June 2025 and will have capacity for 72 pupils with complex needs including ASC. Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism and learning difficulties for over 16 years.
