Humanities Teacher – History & Geography Specialist – Kingston Deliver Engaging Lessons Across Core Humanities Subjects in the London Fringe, Start January 2026 We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Humanities Teacher, specialising in History and Geography, to join a successful faculty at a high-achieving secondary school/academy in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner). Humanities Teacher required (Main/Upper Pay Scale) Full-time, Permanent position starting January 2026 High-achieving secondary school in Kingston (London Fringe) Teach History and Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4) The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective teacher dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous lessons across both History and Geography. This role is ideal for a specialist who can leverage the interconnectedness of these subjects to enrich the student experience and drive strong academic outcomes at GCSE level. This is a dedicated classroom teacher role within a supportive department. The school is committed to continuous staff development, offering excellent mentoring and CPD for all staff and pathways for those who aspire to take on future leadership responsibilities (TLR). The Humanities department is a strong faculty that values intellectual curiosity and provides a broad, challenging curriculum. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A proven track record as an excellent Humanities Teacher, with the ability to confidently teach History and Geography to GCSE level. Strong subject knowledge across both disciplines. A genuine passion for the subjects and the ability to inspire high levels of engagement and academic achievement across a diverse student body. A collaborative mindset, committed to contributing positively to departmental planning and curriculum development. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for London Fringe Teachers (currently £34,398 - £52,490 for 2025/2026).
