The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.
About the opportunity
As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
Working within the healthcare department, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. You will make a difference every day.
This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from outside the UK will only be considered if relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.
Key responsibilities:
1. Prescription dispensing, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in your store to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
3. Provide care and advice to patients about medicines, referring queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
4. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
5. Stay updated with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
6. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
7. Work with evolving technologies within the store to improve patient safety and efficiency.
You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career development, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.
Requirements:
1. Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
2. Current and valid UK right to work. Note: this role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Preferred but not essential:
1. Experience in community pharmacy.
