We are working with one of the most prestigious and technology-driven trading firms globally to find an exceptional Senior Information Security Engineer to join their elite Information Security function in London. Youll be embedded in a high-performance, research-driven environment where security is not just a checkbox—its mission-critical. As a subject matter expert, you’ll drive and influence security architecture, lead threat modelling for complex distributed systems, and shape the firm’s long-term security roadmap.
The Opportunity:
This is a senior-level position with a mandate to lead security strategy across cloud, network, infrastructure, and data domains. You will be the escalation point for complex security challenges and will play a key role in safeguarding proprietary trading systems, research environments, and high-value data assets.
You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and operations, ensuring robust security by design. Your decisions will have a direct impact on the firm’s resilience and its ability to respond to emerging cyber threats.
* Act as a strategic advisor for IT projects, ensuring that security is embedded into design and delivery
* Lead and evolve security architecture across systems, networks, cloud, and endpoints
* Oversee threat modelling and advanced risk assessment processes
* Own relationships with MDR providers, ensuring effectiveness and continuous improvement.
* Build automated tooling to validate control effectiveness and detect potential misconfigurations
* Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions
* Mentor team members and promote a culture of proactive security awareness
What We’re Looking For:
* 5+ years’ experience in information security, preferably in security engineering, architecture, or operations
* Strong technical background across cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), endpoint protection, and system hardening
* Hands-on experience with threat modelling, penetration testing, and scripting (Python and/or PowerShell preferred)
* Familiar with tools such as EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and email gateways
* Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex threats into business context
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, MAS, GDPR)
* Experience in dynamic/static code analysis and application security
* Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, GIAC)
