We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a large company in central Derby on a temp to perm basis.
Full Time - Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Office Based
Salary: £30,000 -£33,000pa
Temp to Perm
This role will consist of the following duties:
- Collate input and maintain all relevant information relating to the payroll on a weekly basis (Starters, leavers, holidays, sickness etc)
- Produce clocking and attendance reports liaising with department managers for any queries
- Process the payroll ensuring all deadlines and cut offs are met
- Provide first line support for any queries from employees/managers.
- Support Payroll supervisor with payroll process:
-Checking/recording Health insurance details
-Check PAYE
-New starters / leavers and P45
-Produce Overtime reports
-Other adhoc duties as required
You'll be completing:
- Monthly period for salaried payroll
- Weekly payroll cover
Core competencies:
- Collating worked hours information from a number of sources
- Accuracy required for the entry of the hours worked/overtime, allowances, deductions as these affect the amount people are paid
- Understanding Wages / Salaries / Expenses are a direct cash outflow
- Adhering to strict guidelines around minimum hourly paid, NI, tax and pensions
