Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This opportunity is based in Manchester and focuses on infrastructure and pipeline projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and overseeing the design of civil engineering projects within the water sector
* Coordinating and managing design activities related to infrastructure and pipelines
* Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met
* Preparing and reviewing technical reports and design documentation
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders to align project requirements and deliverables
* Conducting site visits and inspections as required
Job Requirements:
* Extensive experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector
* Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure and pipeline design
* Proven ability to lead and manage design teams
* Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
* Chartered engineer status (or working towards it) is preferred
