We are currently seeking an Assistant Headteacher with a strong focus on Maths leadership, Phase leadership (EYFS), and safeguarding responsibilities to join our dedicated team of professionals. Previous leadership of Maths is not a requirement, it is proven leadership skills that are key.
We want to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our children, contributing to their academic success and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Maths across the school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and inspire children, based on research, current practice and theory.
• Take on Phase leadership responsibilities in EYFS, working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to drive progress and attainment within your assigned phase.
• Act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Training will be given.
• Motivate and support colleagues, fostering a positive and collaborative ethos within the school community.
• Be an excellent practitioner, consistently delivering high quality lessons and setting high expectations for both children and staff.
• Play a key role in the school's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, with a proven track record of successful teaching experience.
• Experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.
• A deep understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly in Maths and the EYFS framework..
• Knowledge and experience of safeguarding procedures and legislation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A passion for education and a commitment to providing the best possible learning experiences for all students.
