Wednesday to Sunday, 15 hrs. per week, 4-7 pm
The role of the Housekeeper is to work within the Trust Facilities Management structure to ensure that the housekeeping service supports clinical colleagues. Key responsibilities include ensuring the environment is cleaned to National standards, delivering meal/beverage service, bed making, cleaning medical/hard equipment, managing linen quality, and reporting maintenance issues.
Main duties of the job
Critical to the success of the role is providing a service that is safe, efficient, and delivers a quality environment in a timely manner. This promotes the health and well-being of service users and complies with standards from the Dept. of Health, CQC, PLACE & NHS, including the Hygiene Code and new government standards related to food, hydration, and hospital food. The housekeeper will enhance the patient's experience by maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable clinical environment.

Job description
Job responsibilities
* Responsible for the safe delivery of housekeeping and catering services.
* Undertake scheduled cleaning tasks, including cleaning of clinical equipment as per schedule.
* Uphold all Infection Prevention and Control measures within the Trust.
* Ensure all domestic consumables are available at all times in appropriate dispensers/holders.
* Carry out ad hoc cleaning tasks as required by the Senior Housekeeper or nursing staff.
Person Specification
Essential
* Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
* Good basic education—ability to read, write, and have numerical skills
* NVQ Level 2, BICS in Domestic Services
Desirable
* Experience working in a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities service
* Excellent knowledge of Food Hygiene, including temperature control and HACCP
* Good communication skills to interact with a variety of people
* Ability to follow clear instructions
