ROLE: Management Accountant (Fixed‑Term Contract – 6 Months)
HOURS: Full Time
LOCATION: Waterwells Business Park Gloucester (Hybrid)

We're looking for a Management Accountant who will support high‑quality reporting and financial performance within our Water Division — our largest and most complex business area.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, depreciation and amortisation, and take full ownership of allocated entities' monthly management accounts and reporting pack submissions.
2. Review P&L activity performed by others, seeking justification for variances, and provide detailed Excel analysis as required.
3. Maintain balance sheet working files throughout the month‑end cycle and deliver accurate Divisional and Group reporting and analysis.
4. Complete Risks and Opportunities reporting for BLFC sign‑off, produce balance sheet control files with supporting documentation, and submit commentary highlighting areas of concern and recommended solutions.
5. Prepare financial year‑end audit packs, liaise with auditors, support statutory reporting processes, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of reporting quality and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
6. Previous involvement in management accounts preparation.
7. Demonstrable experience of transforming large‑volume data sets into meaningful, workable information.
8. Ability to thrive within a matrix organisation and finance structure.
9. Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.
