Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a Welfare Officer to join our client SEN Secondary School in Emsworth.
We are in search of a compassionate individual with experience in first aid or pastoral care. Your role will be vital in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our students, and you’ll occasionally support pupils in the classroom.
Contract Details for the Welfare Officer role:
1. Location – Emsworth
2. Position – Welfare Officer
3. Start date – ASAP
4. Contract type – Temporary/Permanent
5. Full time/part time – Full-Time Monday to Friday
6. Minimum rate of pay – £ per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the role:
7. If you have GCSE qualifications in English and Maths, minimum of a grade 4/C (or equivalent)
8. Possess excellent communication skills
9. Will embrace our highly supportive and professional culture
10. Previous Welfare or First Aid experience
11. You wish to develop their skills and embrace ongoing training and development
To be eligible as a Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must:
12. Hold Right to Work in the UK
13. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
14. Provide two professional child related references
