Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Lead Painter / Paint Manager for Aviation Component & Aircraft at Fore Aviation Limited in Dunsfold, Cranleigh Surrey. The role involves overseeing and managing all painting and coating tasks related to aviation components and aircraft on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform aircraft component paint repairs, including corrosion treatment, paint blending, & surface preparation
• Carry out interior paint touch-ups on panels, trims, and fittings
• Follow detailed technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and work instructions
• Maintain and operate painting tools, spray guns, PPE, and equipment properly
• Ensure all work complies with aviation safety regulations and internal quality standards
• Work with Planning Team and customer MRO teams to coordinate schedules work packs;
• Document work performed accurately in maintenance records
• Ensure all materials are kept in a controlled manor and have correct certification
Requirements:
• Proven experience in aircraft or component painting, refinishing, or similar role
• Knowledge of paint types, application techniques, and surface preparation
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in aerospace environments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and overtime when required
• [Optional] Certification in aircraft painting or aviation maintenance
• Knowledge of working with composite preferable
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with both aircraft component or aircraft painting
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as and when required
• Knowledge of corrosion control and composite surface preparation
