EHS Advisor
Pirbright - £45k - £50k
You will support and contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Biosafety and Bio-security strategies, procedures and initiatives across the ROPU to deliver proactive EHS, Biosafety and Bio-security behaviours and enable employees to work in a compliant way, within an environment that demands strict regulatory and corporate requirements and awareness.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
EHS management
* Provide advice and recommendations to employees on matters of EHS to ensure compliance with UK EHS legislation and Corporate Requirements.
* Participate in the the creation, development and maintenance of EHS documentation such as SOPs and Risk assessments.
* Ensure all incidents, near misses and accidents are recorded, investigated and filed
* Undertake EHS inspections in agreed locations.
* Support priority projects as assigned
* Assists in the development and maintenance of Pirbright site incident response and crisis management processes
* Conduct periodic validation of fumigation locks at the Pirbright site
* Participate in Global EHS audits and Regulatory (HSE or Environment Agency) visits
* Support the follow up and close out of identified actions from investigations, risk assessments, inspections and audits.
