My lovely client in Dundee is offering an excellent opportunity for a full-time Equine and Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join its dedicated team, a location known for its striking landscapes and high quality of life. Responsibilities
The position involves working across a varied caseload that includes equine, farm, and smallholder patients throughout the Tayside, Angus, and Fife regions. The successful candidate will become part of an experienced equine and farm animal team within a well‑established, multi‑branch mixed practice. Support is readily available for both experienced veterinary surgeons and those who crave development. The rota is designed to be fair and manageable, incorporating structured time off following on‑call duties, including protected rest after night work, a weekly half‑day, and scheduled time off after weekend cover. Additional support systems, such as an out‑of‑hours phone service and a lone worker safety scheme, are also in place.
Practice Details
This practice is recognised for its progressive approach and well‑equipped facilities. These include in‑house equine stabling and stocks at two sites, a fully equipped laboratory, and a range of advanced diagnostic tools such as mobile digital X‑ray, ultrasound equipment for equine work, respiratory endoscopy, and fertility testing kits. The practice also benefits from regular visits by specialists, allowing for a high level of care while minimising the need for external referrals.
