The successful candidate will join the existing team in delivering geriatric medicine inpatient and outpatient work in the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven, and East Lancashire area.
The elderly team offers acute frailty support, comprehensive geriatric assessment, and FEP. The service also includes in-reach into rehabilitation beds based in one of our district general hospitals.
With access to radiology, pathology, diagnostic testing, the team provides a truly comprehensive service to our inpatients and outpatients.
Main duties of the job
The team manages 3 elderly care wards and provides liaison services to orthopaedics and the acute admission ward. The service also includes in-reach into 10 rehabilitation beds based in one of our district general hospitals, dedicated MDT outpatient clinics, and community sessions.
Ward-based support, offering in-reach into Urgent Care and participation in the on-call rota.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Licence to Practise with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration within six months of interview
* MRCP, FRCP, or equivalent
* Excellent clinical skills, aware of limits of own competence, safe, knowledgeable, with evidence of continuous learning
* Higher degree (PhD, MD) or MPhil
Knowledge
* Geriatric and General Internal Medicine
* Experience in clinical audit and appraisal
* Knowledge of telehealth technology and awareness of political changes
Experience
* Experience in conducting audits and presenting findings
* Ability to critically review research
* Recognition as an expert in healthcare education or clinical practice
* Experience in research teams
* Post-MD/PhD research experience
