We are seeking resilient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a specialist primary setting supporting pupils aged 5 to 11. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
This supportive and inclusive learning centre offers a calm, structured environment designed to help children feel safe, understood and ready to learn. You will be supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, which may include:
* Emotional regulation and behavioural challenges
* Trauma-related needs
* Difficulties with engagement and self-confidence

Your Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support
* Help pupils manage emotions and behaviour positively
* Support learning activities and daily routines
* Build trusting, professional relationships with pupils

What We’re Looking For
* Minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs
* Experience within a primary or specialist setting is desirable
* A full UK driving licence is essential due to the school’s location
* Calm, patient and resilient approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
