In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising production schedules to ensure customer demand is fulfilled on time, in full, and in alignment with resource and material availability. The role provides a critical link between programme demand and shop-floor execution, ensuring ERP planning data integrity, schedule accuracy, and effective capacity management. It drives operational performance by managing short and mid-term planning horizons, supporting issue resolution, and contributing to continuous improvement across planning processes. Key Responsibilities and Duties -Planning & Scheduling - Capacity & Resource Management - ERP / MRP Governance - Performance Management & Reporting - Continuous Improvement & Change Management - Collaboration & Communication Key Responsibilities will include: - Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP planning principles (preferably M3). - Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a complex manufacturing environment. - Understanding of capacity and load management techniques (RCCP/CRP). - Excellent IT and data-handling skills, including advanced use of Excel. - Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem solving ability. - Experience interpreting engineering change data and configuration control. - Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions. - APICS CPIM/CSCP or equivalent professional qualification. - Experience with Lean/CI tools, One Safran, or QRQC methodology. - Experience in an aviation interiors or similar industry. - Familiarity with PowerBI or similar planning analytics. - Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment. - Analytical and data-driven with a disciplined, processoriented mindset. - Accountable and proactive in resolving planning and schedule issues. - Collaborative, building effective working relationships across teams. - Attention to detail with a focus on data quality and ERP integrity. - Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and resilience under pressure. - Positive and engaged team contributor with a continuous improvement mindset. - Promotes knowledge sharing and process consistency This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including but not limited to criminal record checks.
