Assistant Janitors cover all janitorial duties along with cleaning and school crossing patrols as required at:
We currently have a new part-time permanent vacancy on a 52-week contract to join our teams within Schools and Nurseries in West Fife.
St Kenneths RC Primary School
* Assistant Janitor - 7.2 hours per week. Working as required between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on a permanent 52-week contract, primarily on Mondays. May be asked to cover other schools, but only on Mondays.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 to £25,885.80 pro rata and annualised pay, and have access to a range of benefits, including:
* £13.18 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends

Key responsibilities include:
* Undertaking prescribed cleaning procedures as directed and ensuring all bodily fluid/spillages are handled per guidelines
* Ensuring educational establishments and grounds are opened and secured at prescribed times
* Maintaining security in cooperation with relevant personnel and agencies
* Completing additional training as required
* Responding to emergency call-outs, including attending sites, contacting authorities, inspecting for damage or theft, and liaising with contractors/emergency services
* Carrying out procedures in emergencies such as fire, flooding, or accidents, including liaising with staff and contractors
The Person
Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant scheme.
You should be able to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
An induction training day is required before starting in the role.
