Law Primary School is situated in the beautiful coastal town of North Berwick. It is the town's only primary school and pupils benefit from excellent community links and extracurricular opportunities. Recent extensive building work has added a sports hall, two libraries, and 18 new classrooms for P4-7. The P1 and P2 areas have been refurbished. The school grounds offer various outdoor learning environments. The current school roll from nursery to P7 is 793.
The school has a non class-committed Head Teacher and three Depute Head Teachers. We have a support for learning team, including a teacher, additional support needs auxiliaries, and classroom assistants. Specialist teachers provide expertise in music, art, and PE. The school is located next to North Berwick High School, with which we have strong links, and a new Early Learning Centre is now open.
We have a supportive Parent Council and collaborate with the Project Play group to enhance outdoor learning. Our vision is to be an inclusive, ambitious learning community where everyone can reach their potential. Our values are Kindness, Determination, Respect.
Job Details
The Depute Head Teacher assists and may deputise for the Head Teacher. The Head Teacher manages the school to benefit pupils and the community, implementing policies set by East Lothian Council under the guidance of the Head of Education.
