A rare opportunity has arisen for Principal Technician to work within the Pharmacy Team in NHS Grampian. You will organise and manage the Pharmacy ARI Dispensary Service, Procurement and Distribution, Homecare and Vaccine Services. The postholder will monitor their services to ensure national standards, legislation and key performance indicators are met and report and resolve problems to ensure patients receive an optimum service.
As a member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team, you will provide professional leadership and lead development for NHS Grampian Acute Service Pharmacy Technicians whilst contributing to the wider NHS Grampian Pharmacy strategy and policy development.
The post holder will have extensive hospital pharmacy experience with a knowledge of the multiple facets of the Pharmacy service and the wider hospital service. As a General Pharmaceutical Council registered Pharmacy Technician you will require a formal leadership and management qualification and be able to demonstrate change management experience and the ability to work with staff at all levels within and out with the organisation. Experience of developing, delivering and supervising technician training is essential.

Additional Information For Candidates
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
