As a Support Worker in Llanaelhaearn, Gwynedd you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support. Our Clwb Cartrefi is expanding, and we are recruiting staff to cover new clients coming into the service, this is a role you can really shape your own and develop. We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this. Role: Clwb Cartrefi Support Worker Location: Llanaelhaearn Hours: Part time, 16 per week (more for the right candidate), day shifts, share of weekend shifts, waking night on offer - talk to us about the hours you are looking to do. A small but expanding team based in Llanaelhaearn, with community and home-based work across the area. Clwb Cartrefi provides sessional day support to adults in our community, including those with learning disabilities or recovering from medical episodes (like strokes). We focus on independent living, meaningful activity, and personalised care - and we're looking for positive, enthusiastic support workers to join our team. What you’ll be doing: Engage people we support into the community for activities, social opportunities and life skills development Play an actively supportive role at our base in Llanaelhaearn, using our craft / sensory room and fully equipped kitchen for cookery and creative sessions Offer home-based support such as personal care, shopping, attending appointments and running errands Work closely with individuals to build confidence, independence and quality of life. Your goal is to make everyday remarkable through enhancing well-being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this kind of person-centred support every day, this truly is a fun and rewarding role for the right person. Who we are looking for: No experience required as full training is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you: have patience and empathy can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity have strong communication and teamwork skills are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning have a full driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this.
