Control and Electrical Engineer Short-term (4 weeks) - Remote / Wiltshire £45,000 fulltime equivalent dependant on experience A company with a vision to create a circular economy through innovative food waste solutions are seeking a Control and Electrical Engineer on an, initially, short-term basis. The role involves reworking an existing PLC based control system, for the purposes of applying to a new site. The system controls a micro-scale anaerobic digestion system. The modifications are almost finalised and the company require a Control and Electrical Engineer to complete the task. Role skills: Technical Documentation Analysis : Ability to review and interpret existing plant documentation, including schematics, PFDs, P&IDs, and control descriptions. Electrical and Control System Design : Proficiency in designing wiring, control system alterations, and hardware extensions based on new process flow diagrams and control requirements. PLC and HMI Programming : Expertise in reprogramming control systems, including modifying existing HMI mimic diagrams to align with new plant layouts. Panel Wiring and Schematics : Skilled in rewiring control panels and extensions or creating detailed schematics for third-party panel builders. Field Wiring and Installation : Competence in rewiring control systems on-site or producing schematics for third-party electricians to execute wiring tasks. System Commissioning : Experience in commissioning control systems on-site to ensure proper functionality and integration. Technical Documentation : Ability to produce clear, comprehensive documentation for new control systems, including updated schematics and operational guides.
