Job title: Head of Learning Products and Commercial Strategy

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid (East Midlands)


The Role

This opportunity is to join a long-term client of Instinct’s; a respected and forward-thinking organisation that is transforming its approach to professional learning.

As Head of Product Management & Development, you’ll take full ownership of a diverse portfolio of learning products, including digital courses, regulated qualifications, and bespoke client programmes. You’ll lead a team of product, business, and study centre managers to drive innovation, efficiency, and learner impact across all formats.

You’ll also play a key role in commercial success and innovation by shaping product strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring that the organisation’s learning offerings remain relevant, inclusive, and future-focused.

This is a varied and influential leadership role with both strategic and practical responsibilities, from adopting emerging technologies and enhancing UX principles to analysing performance data and managing global learning products. It offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, inventive, and commercially driven learning professional.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Proven experience leading learning product teams to achieve strategic and commercial success.
* Deep understanding of how to implement learning design, UX/UI principles, and digital learning technologies to improve a product suite.
* Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams (Commercial, Operations, Marketing, etc.).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing and driving commercial success.
* Knowledge of the broader education or qualifications landscape to identify growth opportunities through new business ventures.


Nice to Have

* Experience developing a global product portfolio.
* Analytical mindset with experience utilising data and performance insights to inform improvements.
* Experience implementing high-level learning strategies in accordance with regulatory standards.
