Overview
Support Workers (full time 37.5 hours & part time 20/25 hours) – central Bognor Regis (Supported Living Project). We are seeking full-time Support Workers to join a friendly team at our project, with excellent transport links. Starting salary for full-time positions is £24,570 per year, with full-time hours at 37.5 per week. Part-time equivalent is £12.60 per hour, including weekends, bank holidays, and evenings subject to rotas. Sleep-in shifts are essential and paid in addition to salary (approx. £55.28 per sleep-in).
You will be part of the Aldingbourne Trust and responsible for helping our tenants to live the lives they choose safely, while developing their own independence. Our team supports 23 independently living adults with autism and/or learning disabilities, living within their own flats and homes, with their day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team with staff and the people we support to ensure that emotional, social, medical and material needs are recognised, assessed and met.
* Help tenants to live as independently as possible and participate in everyday activities.
* Ensure your work meets the standards set out by the Care Standards Act and Regulations, and by the Care Quality Commission and other legal requirements, including West Sussex Safeguarding and Medication policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Over the age of 18.
* Flexible to work on a rota to fit the needs of the project and the people we support (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins).
* A caring, fun nature with an interest in people.
* Experience in care, nursing, childcare, or education is desirable but not essential.
* The Aldingbourne Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to jobseekers entering the UK on a Skilled Worker Visa.
