Job Title: Property Underwriter – Equity Release

Royal London Group has an exciting opportunity for a Property Underwriter to join our Equity Release Lending team. Royal London Equity Release provides high quality Lifetime Mortgage products to customers helping homeowners to achieve their financial goals in later life.
About the role:
* Assess equity release applications against predefined funder criteria, ensuring all property‑related lending decisions align with company policies, regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
* Balance criteria assessments and risk management with good customer outcomes to support sound, sustainable lending practices.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, including the Business Development Team and Service Delivery, to gather key information and build a comprehensive understanding of each applicant’s financial position.
* Ensure decisions are robust, well‑evidenced and aligned with responsible lending principles.
About you:
* Positive & pro-active attitude to work, resilient & dedicated.
* Minimum grade C GCSE level Maths & English (or equivalent)
* Complete all administrative duties in a timely manner, with accuracy.
* Good Telephone Manner: Building a rapport with Customers, Advisors & our Partners.
* Excellent communication skills
* Collaborative mindset & team player
* Experience working in a regulated environment (Banking, Finance, or Insurance)
* Experience in mortgage related underwriting.
* Keen eye for detail and focused on accuracy
