The Kintyre Way is an essential experience for avid walkers. This 7-stage, waymarked trail traverses the picturesque Kintyre peninsula, spanning 100 miles from Tarbert to Southend. The villages of Muasdale and Southend are equidistant to Campbeltown, which is the largest town on the Kintyre peninsula. Carradale is a 16 mile drive from Campbeltown on the East Coast of the Peninsula. Campbeltown is a two-hour drive from Oban and 3 hours from Glasgow. A daily flight, Mon-Fri and summertime also on Sunday, from Machrihanish Airport can transport you to Glasgow Airport within 30 minutes and offers an opportunity to take in some spectacular views as you fly over the Isle of Arran. Northern Ireland is accessible by our seasonal passenger ferry from Campbeltown to Ballycastle. The Isle of Arran is accessible by a year round car ferry, and there is also the option of reaching Glasgow and Ayrshire via ferry links.
