IT Project Manager 100% on-site Norfolk, VA Active Secret Clearance Active PMP B.S Degree (Math, Engineering, IT) Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking an IT Project Manager for a potential opportunity to support our Navy/MSC Customers. The scope is to deliver IT Systems Engineering Support Services essential for sustaining systems engineering personnel, processes, and products, as well as introducing new IT capabilities and services needed by the Military Sealift Command (MSC) globally. The IT Project Manager requires DoD experience managing and leading complex IT-related projects and teams within schedule, cost, and scope. This position requires expert knowledge of the scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, stakeholders, human resources, and communications management. The IT PM must have the ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, the ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and senior-level IT leaders, excellent communications skills, and foster open communications on teams. Responsibilities Full life cycle IT project management and/or program management support of a wide variety of DoD projects Leading a team: working closely with technical professionals to ensure strict adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, and to ensure successful project execution Regularly interfacing with senior management, design engineers, customer stakeholders, implementation team members, vendors, and subcontractors Managing systems engineering, integration, or installation projects involving DoD systems Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, & closing projects Controlling scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and issues Managing stakeholders' expectations and responding to customer feedback Leading and directing multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and scope Assessing project health and directing any necessary corrective measures and creatively applying project management processes to address unique situations Creating and applying comprehensive project plans; detailed project schedules, resource estimates, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities Defining and documenting project work breakdowns and monitoring project status Required Qualifications B.S Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or similar technical background preferred Eight (8) years of experience successfully managing and leading the successful realization of complex projects with budgets over $10M Proficient in Microsoft Project Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification U.S. Citizen with current DOD Secret clearance Desired Qualifications Microsoft Server-related certifications CompTIA Security Certification or higher CompTIA certs Microsoft Azure-related certifications Knowledge of Maritime systems or networks, especially within the DoD About Nationwide IT Services NIS is an IT and Management consulting company, is a CVE-verified Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Business.
