We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join this long established and respected precision engineering company located in the Basildon - Billericay area.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of setting and operating CNC Lathes.
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathes to produce high-precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
We would also welcome applications from CNC Turners who have programming and/or Sliding Head lathe experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce components with tight tolerances
* Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of components
* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
* Work collaboratively with the team to enhance production efficiency
Skills and Qualifications:
* Suitable engineering apprenticeship of equiv. - Beneficial
* Experience Setting and operating CNC lathes
* Any programming experience - Beneficial
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Working Hours:
* 39 hours per week
* Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
