Overview
This is an experienced Social Worker role within the Lincoln FAST team, responsible for delivering high-quality statutory social work across Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care. Location: Lamb Gardens, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN2 4EQ, United Kingdom. Contract details: 37 hours per week; Start date: Immediate start; Salary: £164.28 per day. There is an expectation to be on site for 5 days during the duty week, with every fourth week on duty. Non-duty weeks offer hybrid working where available.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality statutory social work across Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care.
* Lead safeguarding processes and contribute to multi-agency planning.
* Produce clear analytical reports, including for court, and ensure timely, accurate recording.
* Manage risk using evidence-based approaches such as Signs of Safety.
* Demonstrate skilled relationship-based practice and confident decision-making.
* Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes and safety for children and families.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience completing Section 47 enquiries.
* Experience undertaking comprehensive Child and Family Assessments.
* Experience using Signs of Safety or equivalent risk management approaches.
* Strong relationship-based practice, decision-making, and multi-agency collaboration skills.
* Clear commitment to improving outcomes and safety for children and families.
