Part-Time Practical Skills Support Worker
We are looking for a hands-on, skilled, and approachable person to join our team, supporting young people through practical activities such as DIY, mechanics, and woodwork.
This role is all about sharing your skills, encouraging problem-solving, and helping young people gain confidence through practical learning. You don't need to be a teacher – just someone who enjoys working with tools, fixing things, and passing on knowledge in a patient and supportive way.
Main responsibilities:
Supporting young people with DIY, basic mechanics, and woodwork projects
Encouraging safe tool use and practical problem-solving
Helping to design and deliver small projects that inspire learning and creativity
Providing a calm, supportive presence and adapting activities to individual needs
We are looking for someone who:
Has practical experience in DIY, mechanics, carpentry, or similar trades
Enjoys working with their hands and teaching practical skills
Is enthusiastic, patient, and supportive with young people
Can work flexibly on a part-time basis
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to use their skills to make a difference and inspire young people through hands-on learning.
If this sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you
