Banking & Finance Associate – 2–5 PQE

A global law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate (2–5 PQE) to join its London-based Finance & Financial Regulation team. With a strong reputation for sector-driven advice and a collaborative international culture, this is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded banking lawyer to work on complex domestic and cross-border financings.
The Opportunity
You will be exposed to a wide range of high-quality finance matters, with particular strength in:
* Renewable energy and infrastructure finance
* Real estate finance
* Acquisition finance
* Venture debt and asset-based lending
* Emerging markets transactions, particularly North Africa and CEE/SEE
You'll work closely with a team of sector experts who regularly advise major international banks, development institutions, funds, and borrowers. The firm’s sector strength in technology, sports and energy further enhances the breadth of work and client base.
What You’ll Do
* Advise on the full lifecycle of debt finance transactions
* Manage key workstreams on complex mandates with increasing client exposure
* Collaborate across international offices on multi-jurisdictional deals
* Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives
* Support the growth of the team’s renewables and project finance offering
About You
* 3–5 PQE with banking and finance experience from a recognised UK or international firm
* Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
* Experience in one or more of acquisition finance, real estate finance, or project finance
* Ability to manage transactions with a proactive and collaborative mindset
* Interest in international work and a desire to operate in a sector-led team
* Comfortable working in a lean team with high levels of responsibility
