EO’s end-to-end EV infrastructure solutions include depot design, electrical installation, grid upgrades, and ongoing operations and maintenance for car, van, truck, and bus fleets. Many of the world’s largest and most complex fleet operators already rely on EO’s technology, including Amazon, DHL, UPS, Tesco, and FedEx. The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of EO Charging. They will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and contributing to the overall success of the organisation through sound financial management and effective governance and control. EO Charging is looking for an experienced finance professional to undertake the following responsibilities: • Lead the end-to-end financial reporting processes for EO Charging including P&L by Segment, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Cashflow Statement. • Improve the monthly closing cycle, ensuring a good cadence with robust checks and controls in place. • Responsible for delivering the annual statutory accounts and audit process,. • Be the subject matter expert when it comes to Accounting Standards and Accounting Policies. Maintain appropriate accounting policies and keep track of changes in accounting policies and standards, ensuring that books are maintained in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP (US GAAP). • Design, implement, and document financial and internal control processes and procedures in accordance with the Company's financial control environment. • Ensure tax compliance, including corporation tax, indirect tax, PAYE, and transfer pricing arrangements, drawing on external advice as needed. • Ensure continuous improvement of the financial control function in its methodology, tools, and processes as the business increases its scale and complexity. • Provide subject matter expert input into the system upgrade/implementation projects, such as ERP system. • Provide advice and guidance as a subject matter expert on all financial and accounting-related matters across the company, being able to influence and guide stakeholders. • Responsible for timely and accurate covenant reporting. Required - Qualified Accountant with proven strong technical track record ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent). Qualified with one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG). 5 years PQE. Strong understanding of core accounting system (GL, consolidation, reporting packages) and appreciation of core transaction processes (P2P, O2C). Hands on experience of scaling a financial control and reporting function, with a proven track record of adapting to a growing and demanding business. Experience of delivering the annual statutory accounts and audit process. Managing a strong compliance framework, including corporation tax, indirect tax, PAYE, CIS and transfer pricing arrangements, drawing on external advice as needed. Able to balance the demand of improving the status quo whilst keeping in mind what “excellence” will look like in the long term. Subject matter expert when it comes to Accounting Standards. Can demonstrate ability of work with different audiences, often working through the same things in different ways, delivering financial information and analyses appropriate to different audiences. Proven track record of growing and leading a high performing team. An ability to multitask and work autonomously; a pro-active thinker who doesn’t just wait to be told how to do something but drives the thought process of how to do it and see things to conclusion whilst prioritizing competing demands. Creative thinker who proposes varied solutions to challenges. Analytical, detail-oriented, and precise in approach. Driven to continually improve processes and systems. Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating autonomy, integrity, and discipline. Strong communication skills, fostering respect, mutual understanding, and empathy. Collaborative team player who builds positive relationships across disciplines.
