Job Purpose
We are seeking a Telephone Account Manager to support the growth of our Wealth Management division, focusing on International Investment Bonds and Tax and Estate Planning for the UK Wealth Advisory market. This hybrid role covers a geographical panel in southern England.
Job Summary
1. Build and maintain long-term relationships with professional adviser firms through regular contact via telephone, email, and virtual meetings.
2. Write quality business for the Canada Life wealth division and manage accounts to optimize business opportunities.
3. Understand adviser firms' processes and organizational structures, deliver sales targets, and exceed behavioral objectives in line with business plans.
Key Accountabilities
1. Manage a panel of adviser firms within a geographic area, including daily activity, meetings, follow-ups, webinars, and campaigns via Salesforce.
2. Meet or exceed sales targets across Canada Life's wealth products, and achieve activity targets for meetings.
3. Develop strong relationships with advisers to maximize sales and increase market share, implementing effective contact strategies.
4. Maintain high technical knowledge of Canada Life’s International product range, with regular testing.
5. Achieve and maintain competency under the Distribution T&C Scheme.
6. Develop account plans through research, competitor analysis, and sales initiatives.
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
1. Experience in financial sales with a proven track record of hitting targets is desirable.
2. Experience working with financial advisers and understanding their operations is preferred.
3. Understanding of UK taxation and the International bond market is essential.
4. Knowledge of Platforms and Discretionary Fund Managers is desirable.
5. Teamwork skills are essential for joint sales responsibilities.
6. Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce is preferred.
7. Strong relationship-building, fact-finding, and pitching skills are required.
Qualifications
Minimum: CII Diploma in Financial Planning - Level 4 or studying towards it.
