Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: HuddersfieldSalary: £20,422 - £22160.57Contract Type: Full Time (Temp - Perm contract)
NextGen Teachers are proud to have partnered with a specialist SEN provision who are currently on the hunt for Teaching Assistants to start September 2025. The school are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive team.
The Role:As an SENTeaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN needs
* Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and learning
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement tailored strategies and behaviour plans
* Support emotional regulation and social skills development through consistent, nurturing approaches
* Help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEN or behavioural needs (school-based experience is preferred but not essential)
* Demonstrates patience, resilience, and emotional intelligence
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
* Can communicate effectively and work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Holds relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
* The right to work in the UK
* An enhanced DBS on the update service
* Two professional references
