Job Overview
Due to rapid business growth, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures while ensuring the comfort and safety of our animal patients.
The role involves OOH's on a rotating basis (maximum of 2 nights per week), and 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (9-12pm).
Responsibilities
* Assist veterinarians during consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures.
* Prepare animals for surgery and monitor them during anaesthesia.
* Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
* Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on samples as needed.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
* Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners on health management.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary practice, including equipment sterilisation.
* Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health and treatment plans.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in veterinary nursing or equivalent experience in a veterinary setting.
* Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, laboratory techniques, and animal care practices.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise with pet owners.
* Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: £31,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
